High-speed hydrogen rail: From Grand Rapids to Detroit in 40 minutes?

Who wants to travel on a train to Detroit?
And if there's lot's of folks who want to do so, and it's such a great idea it'll produce a profit, why have a panel to "guage public support"?
Grab the Vasoline folks, our elected "leaders" are spending our tax dollars to have a multi-visit-luncheon to propose an idea that could NEVER survive in a capitalistic world.
So, if you like the lunch.... imagine a "free" zippy ride to downtown Detroit!

When: Friday July 31
Where: 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Eberhard Center, Grand Valley State University in downtown Grand Rapids, 301 W. Fulton St.
Who: A bipartisan state task force that is studying the potential of the project, which is proposed by a private company says it will share revenues with the state and local government.
