Muskegon County government is being sued by one of its most ardent critics based on allegations that the County Board of Commissioners illegally had a closed session meeting to keep discussions about a controversial loan secret.
James Riley, a local talk-radio host who has criticized the Muskegon County Board of Commissioners on many occasions involving financial matters, filed a lawsuit against the board alleging violations of the Open Meetings Act and the Freedom of Information Act.
