If you read about him in the New York Times prior to May 2013, the image that emerged of Hassan Rouhani is one of the ultimate regime insider, not a reformer by any stretch.
So how does Rouhani become a “moderate?”
Probably by one of the great PR campaigns.
Unfortunately it isn’t one that Iran paid for; rather it is one that is being run in America’s mainstream media."
