Colorado resident Shane Smith received a letter informing him that his dog, Baxter, was successfully enrolled in the Affordable Care Act.
Smith’s own policy was cancelled under Obamacare, so he decided to enroll with the government’s program.
During the application process, which he decided to do by phone, he was asked several security questions; he used his dog’s name for one of the codes.
An error in data collection obviously occurred."
