...New quarterly report cards were initially eight pages long, but the committee pared that down to one double-sided page.
Now K-8 students are graded M for mastery, P for progression, and L for learning.
“Kids were more excited when I told them they got an A-plus, or a B.
They know that’s pretty good,” Happel said.
“But when you give them a P or M they don’t know what that means.”
