"In Don Boudreaux’s December 25 op-ed in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, he poses eight questions for proponents of redistribution (two are featured in today’s WSJ Notable and Quotable section).Four of Don’s questions appear below, and I’ve added two of my own below his:
1. Do you teach your children to envy what other children have?
4. You allege that great differences in incomes are psychologically harmful to poor people even if these poor people are, by historical standards, quite wealthy. So how do you explain the great demand of very poor immigrants to come to America — where these immigrants are relatively much poorer than they are in their native lands?
