$45 parking tickets coming to Detroit | Crain's Detroit Business:
"Detroit Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr officially proposed increasing the cost of parking tickets to $45.
For those of you who haven’t been caught at an expired meter lately, the current tab is $20 — $10 if you pay it within 10 days.
The $45 fee would also apply to parking in no-parking zones, blocking an alley or driveway and a number of other scenarios.
The cost of illegally parking in a handicap spot would jump from to $150 from $100.
Additionally, if you park at a two-hour meter but stay four hours, you could be ticketed twice."
