(Detroit, MI) -- A Detroit man is dead and a woman is recovering after both are shot in an attempted carjacking.It happened Saturday evening at a gas station on 8 Mile Road at Dequindre and it was all caught on the surveillance system.
Police say video shows the suspect following 21-year-old Shaneqwa Carr back to the vehicle she was a passenger in, and when the driver of the vehicle tussled with the suspect five shots were fired.
The driver, 47-year-old Leslie White, was pronounced dead on the scene.
Investigators are hoping the surveillance system can help them get a positive identification on the suspect."
