Metro Council wants to prohibit use of profanity, offensive language by speakers:
"Members of the Louisville Metro Council have asked the county attorney’s office to research the options they have in trying to prohibit the use of profanity and offensive language, especially by people addressing the legislative body.
...The action is aimed primarily at one speaker who has used a racial slur more than once in the last year or so, when she addressed the council
...“I am hoping we can specifically prohibit use of the ‘n’ word,” Scott said.
.....The addresses are televised as part of the meeting over the Metro TV station, and usually at least two uniformed police officers provide security at the meetings."
