"MUSKEGON, MI -- It's that time again -- time to start thinking about getting kids ready for school, and local organizations are helping with free backpack giveaways.
Lakeshore Backpacks for Kids is once again offering free back-to-school backpacks with school supplies. Giveaways start Saturday in Holton and will continue in various locations throughout the Muskegon area through August.
Cellular Connection also is giving away backpacks this Saturday.
Families attending Lakeshore Backpacks for Kids need to bring identification and children must be accompanied by parents.
In addition to the backpack giveaways, some locations also will include vision screening, hearing screening, snacks and low-cost haircuts."
