"Sheikh Mohammed Saleh Al-Munajjid, an influential Saudi Arabian cleric, issued a surprising declaration following a rare major snowstorm that slammed northern Saudi Arabia this week (Maybe it was caused by “global warming,” but that’s another story). Sheikh Munajjid proclaimed that is is not permissable to build snowmen, “even by way of play and fun,” saying that doing so would be a “sin.”
