Twisting! Brian Williams’ Hurricane Katrina stories now in question - BizPac Review:
"Now that NBC News anchor Brian Williams’ claim that a helicopter he and his crew were were riding in was hit by a rocket propelled grenade has been refuted, other Williams’ tales of courage and heroism are now being called into question.
Here’s an example:
While Williams was covering Hurricane Katrina, he claimed to have become “very sick with dysentery” from accidentally ingesting floodwater, and told viewers that he witnessed dead bodies floating past his New Orleans French Quarter hotel room.
Not true, says the New Orleans Advocate.
The French Quarter was never subject to flooding, and a local health expert couldn’t recall anyone complaining of the stomach ailment during and after the time Katrina struck.
He made his dysentery claim at the four-minute mark in this interview last year withTom Brokaw, who Williams replaced on the NBC anchor desk."
