"FLINT, MI -- The sharp drop in Flint homicides last year came amid a decline even in shootings that didn't result in death.
Police, and even medical personnel, say the drop in nonfatal shootings can't solely be attributed to the excellence of emergency room doctors -- but it can be connected to the community working with police.
Nonfatal shootings were down 17.58 percent from 2013 to 2014, with 136 nonfatal shootings last year, compared to 165 the previous year, "
