Witnesses testify in McDonald’s drive-thru shooting trial | WOODTV.com:
"GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Witnesses testified Tuesday in the trial of a woman accused of opening fire on a McDonald’s drive-thru window because her burger didn’t have bacon on it.
..Three witnesses testified, including the person who was driving the car Torres was in at the time of the shooting.
In February 2014, Torres went to the drive-thru of the McDonald’s on 28th Street near Madison Avenue in Grand Rapids.
According to police, the workers got her order wrong, leaving the bacon off her burger, so she went back early the next day with the promise of a free meal.
Again, police said, they didn’t give her bacon on her cheeseburger.
Nydia Ray was driving the car Torres was in and testified in court Tuesday that they returned the incorrect order through the drive-thru window.
“I gave the lady the food bag.
She walked off.
I rolled up my window because it was cold.
I kind of glanced and seen the gun,” she recalled.
“I think I said, ‘What the f*** are you doing? What the f***?’
In the middle of that, the gun went off.”"
