Quicken Loans will get to pick name for M-1 Rail:
"Dan Gilbert can add the eventual name of the M-1 Rail streetcar to his list of acquisitions.
Gilbert's Quicken Loans secured the naming rights to the 3.3-mile streetcar line being built on Woodward as part of its financial support during fund-raising for the project, according to a statement from Paul Childs, M-1's chief operating officer.
"M-1 Rail is also working on other branding items — including recognition of donors who have sponsored station stops," Childs said in the statement.

"The process is a dynamic one and will be done in a way that reflects the pride we have in the project and its importance to Detroit."
It was unclear when a decision on the name would be reached or if M-1 Rail is a possibility.

Quicken obtaining the line's naming rights was first reported by Crain's Detroit Business.
