Image Credit: Pew Research CenterThe Pew survey reported that 61 percent of Millennials got politics and government news from Facebook, and 33 percent of them got news from Google News. In contrast, 60 percent of Baby Boomers relied on local TV for politics and government news, and 39 percent of them used Facebook.
Traditional news sources including local TV, NPR, MSNBC and Fox News are less popular as a primary news source among Millennials than among their Baby Boomer and Generation X counterparts.
