The Edison Bulb
By Tammy Derouin
The one question which continually comes back to me is,
why? Why would the President of the
United States want to destroy the United States? Every week I hear myself asking the same
question; but it’s simply a moment of frustration. I accepted the answer a long time ago. Once I accepted the reason, my focus changed.
I’ve observed, with much outraged and disbelief, the actions
of the executive. The appalling but no
longer shocking conclusion I have come to, is that we no longer have a president;
therefore, I refuse to call Barack Hussein Obama the president of the United
States. At best, he is an executive but his actions
scream dictator. At worst, well his term
isn’t over yet, is it?
Through the inaction of our Congress and our judicial system
we have witnessed the fundamental transformation of America, as promised
through hope and change. Can you still
hear the people foolishly applauding an unknown candidate whose accomplishments
were dismal? After years of ignoring the
American people and refusing to protect our interests at home and abroad as
well as weakening our defenses at the personal and national level, you can
still hear people foolishly applauding the actions of an individual who wishes
to destroy our nation...
