Probe in college slayings peers into Web rants and possible religious rage

That common factor is a particular category of drugs called Selective Serotonin Re-uptake inhibitors, SSRIs. 
The first of these SSRIs to become part of the medical mainstream was Prozac, which entered the market place about 25 years ago.
It seems that these horrific events started to occur with increasing frequency also about 25 years ago. Coincidence?
It should come as no surprise that in nearly every mass shooting in the past 25 years, the shooter was under the age of 20, suffered from depression, and was proscribed an SSRI to treat the condition. 
Other drugs in this class include Zoloft, Luvox, Ritalin, Xanax, Trazodone, and Ambien.
The pharmaceutical industry that created these drugs, the doctors who proscribe them like candy, and the parents who choose to medicate a child instead of raising them are equally at fault!!!"
