"After much outcry from American people, the Republican controlled Congress is listening to Americans’ demands to halt the flow of refugees into America.
“Our nation has always been welcoming, but we cannot let terrorists take advantage of our compassion,” House Speaker Paul Ryan told reporters, according to The Hill. “This is a moment where it’s better to be safe than to be sorry.”Many Americans have expressed concern over President Barack Obama‘s ambitious plan to resettle 10,000 refugees over the next year. The revelation that some of the Paris attackers used the refugee crisis to infiltrate Europe has only increased concerns."
