Students hit by chemical spray during incident at Detroit Central:
"More than a dozen students were arrested after numerous fights broke out Tuesday afternoon at Detroit’s Central Collegiate Academy as police responded to a false fire alarm at the school, according to sources.
...Principal David Oclander said a disturbance broke out as students returned to the building after evacuating because of a fire alarm.
At some point, Detroit Public Schools Police officers, who provide security at the state operated high school, used “crowd control devices,” as Oclander put it.
Oclander referred all other comment to school district police, who could not be reached immediately on Tuesday afternoon.
Detroit city police confirmed it had officers at the school, which is operated by the state-run Education Achievement Authority, but could not provide any more details.
...More than a dozen city and school district police vehicles were reported at the scene..."
