Flint councilman's pawned city laptop probe moves to county prosecutor | MLive.com:
"FLINT, MI - The investigation into whether crimes were committed when a Flint councilman allegedly pawned his city-owned laptop for a $100 loan has been turned over from the Flint Police Department to the Genesee County Prosecutor's office.
Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton confirmed Monday, July 10, that the criminal investigation into Councilman Eric Mays is now in his office for review.
He declined any further comment on the matter.
The advancement of the case comes just over six weeks after Councilman Scott Kincaid filed a criminal complaint with Flint police in the matter after learning Music Man Pawnshop -- located within one block of Flint City Hall -- had taken in the laptop issued to Mays."
