We Visited a WWI Memorial a Court Ordered to Be Removed. Here’s What We Saw.:
"A federal district court ordered that a nearly century-old “Peace Cross” be taken down in Bladensburg, Maryland.
Why?
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit ruled earlier this month that the cross, built in 1925, “has the primary effect of endorsing religion and excessively entangles the government in religion.”
Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, a Republican, has vowed to take the case to the Supreme Court..."
