Obviously a lot of swamp still needs to be drained - Ice Age Now
"Does the federal bureaucracy think the public is too dumb to look at history?
“U.S. Report Says Humans Cause Climate Change, Contradicting Top Trump Officials,” crows the headline in The New York Times.
“Directly contradicting much of the Trump administration’s position on climate change, 13 federal agencies unveiled an exhaustive scientific report on Friday that says humans are the dominant cause of the global temperature rise that has created the warmest period in the history of civilization. (italics added)
Over the past 115 years global average temperatures have increased 1.8 degrees Fahrenheit, leading to record-breaking weather events and temperature extremes, the report says.” (italics added)
Similar articles sprouted up on many Elite Media websites, including msn.com:
“The report affirms that climate change is driven almost entirely by human action, warns of potential sea level rise as high as 8 feet by the year 2100, and enumerates myriad climate-related damages across the United States that are already occurring due to 1.8 degrees Fahrenheit of global warming since 1900.” gloats msn.com. (Italics added)
“The report’s release underscores the extent to which the machinery of the federal scientific establishment… continues to grind on.” (italics added)
But wait a minute.
Did you notice how far back the report goes?
“Since 1900.”
Over the past 115 years.”
As far as I’m concerned, this report presents a blatant misrepresentation of the facts.
This has in no way been “the warmest period in the history of civilization.”
Many ancient civilizations enjoyed far warmer climes than we are experiencing today.
Here’s a chart showing temperature variations during the past 11,500 years.
You don’t need a Ph.D. to see that temperatures have been falling for the last 8,000 years.
You also don’t need a Ph.D. to know that many civilizations flourished during that time.
Ever heard of Julius Caesar and the Roman Empire?
Ever heard of King Tut and the Egyptian Pharaohs?
Ever heard of Alexander the Great?
Unfortunately, the federal bureaucracy does keep grinding us down.
Perhaps it has to do with keeping their cushy, power-packed jobs?
I think this report shows the extent of the work that Trump still faces.
There’s still a lot of swamp to be drained..."
