A characteristic feature of the past year was the fact that almost all cross-border regions as well as regions which directly concern the economic and security interests of the USA, the EU, the People’s Republic of China and the Russian Federation have been drawn into the confrontation between global forces.
This leads to the conclusion that there are no more “safe havens” in today’s world.

...Global economic issues and the state of international affairs will contribute to the further fragmentation of the world and the growth of isolationist tendencies.
2019 could prove the pivotal year in marking the final breakdown of the existing model of international relations and the intensification of the conflict between global powers, as they seek to shape the new world order.
Regardless, it is safe to assume that in 2019 the world will remain a “very dangerous place”...."
