Consider:
Adherents are expected to accept the doctrine of "anthropomorphic global warming; a result of carbon pollution emitted by human activity" as an unquestioned article of faith.
They must do so irrespective of the fossil record which offers irrefutable evidence of Earth's historic climate patterns and atmospheric gasses.
The doctrinal construct of this "religion" provides a framework for viewing the world and their place within it.
It is inarguably the most self-destructive worldview ever to gain wide subscription: "Humankind is a scourge upon the Earth and must be greatly diminished lest it sully its own life-support system."
Intrinsic to this doctrine is the "cause" to which an adherent's life may be dedicated.
Adherents must proselytize the religion for new converts and advocate universal observation of the religion's tenets.
In the minds of those subscribed to the Church of Global Warming, only those who are "woke" to the imminent calamity threatened by "global warming" are qualified to make public policy pronouncements."
