"Over the past few weeks I have given several descriptions of the Colorado sex ed bill, HB-1032. However, it is such a complicated and comprehensive bill it is hard to capture all that is within this legislation.
Here is another facet to this radical bill, this time considering what is not included.
The most glaring omission is anything relating to heterosexual marriage.
The bill bends over backwards to require the instruction of other human relationships, including the entire LGBT+ spectrum and even singles out a requirement that “immigrant communities” be represented in the discussions.
However, nowhere is there anything that would indicate that “comprehensive human sexuality education” includes instruction on sexuality within the context of a heterosexual marriage.
A quick search of the reengrossed version of the bill yields not one use of the words “marriage,” “baby,” “child,” “wife,” “husband,” “man,” or “woman.”
