"The threat of blackouts in Victoria has sparked alarm from some of the nation's biggest businesses with Coca Cola Amatil boss Alison Watkins comparing the situation to challenges it usually faced in developing countries.The Australian Energy Market Operator warned on Thursday more than a million Victorian households could face blackouts this summer if power plant repairs at key facilities ran behind schedule without replacement supplies being secured.
