Terrible city ordinance forces political firms to work for causes they oppose
"Two businessmen, Grant Strobl and Jacob Chludzinski own ThinkRight Strategies, a political consulting and marketing firm, in Michigan have filed a lawsuit against the city of Ann Arbor for enforcing a law that is discriminatory.
Ann Arbor passed an ordinance that makes it illegal for businesses to discriminate based on political beliefs, so ThinkRight, a firm that advocates for right-of-center ideas, must create advocacy material for both liberal and conservative causes or face fines of up to $500 per day.
...The law bans Strobl and Chludzinski from posting statements on their website indicating they work with conservative clients.
It even requires the consulting firm to try to recruit clients from the liberal Left so long as it is also soliciting clients from the conservative Right.
