Interesting from IPCC SROCC report: “Globally, it is estimated that about 33,700 km2 of land has been gained from the sea during the last 30 years (about 50% more than has been lost), with the biggest gains being due to land reclamation in places like Dubai, Singapore and China”
More: “There is limited evidence of migration occurring directly as a consequence of impacts associated with environmental change generally and SLR specifically.”
IPCC SROCC clearly treats RCP8.5 as BAU: “Under unmitigated emissions (RCP8.5), coastal societies, especially poorer, rural and small islands societies, will struggle to maintain their livelihoods and settlements during the 21st century.”
