Bomb threat at Muskegon area school sends students home - mlive.com"MUSKEGON COUNTY, MI – A written bomb threat resulted in all students at a Muskegon area charter school being sent home Friday.
The threat was found at Timberland Charter Academy and police were called around 11:20 a.m. Jan. 31, said Muskegon Township Police Chief Tim Thielbar.
The school at 2574 McLaughlin Ave. was quickly evacuated and the decision was made to send students home, Thielbar said.
As of 2:30 p.m., police were waiting for a bomb detection dog to arrive to do a sweep of the school, Thielbar said.
The threat was found in a boy’s bathroom and was “definitely a child’s handwriting,” Thielbar said.
It was unclear how long it had been there as there were many other graffiti writings in the same area, he said..."
