This is an unfortunate drawback of cheaper flight prices... more lower class people like this are getting on flights.
I remember when people used to actually dress themselves up a bit for flying. Not dressed to the nines, mind you, but at least they made themselves more presentable. I'm not trying to imply that flight prices should be raised, though.
On a side note, major kudos to the gentleman who who had the brass to intervene and prevent further harm to the flight attendant. Wouldn't be surprised to see him featured on the news in the near future.
