Dozens of major cancer studies can't be replicated | Science News
  • A massive 8-year effort finds that much cancer research can’t be replicated
  • Unreliable preclinical studies could impede drug development later on
"An effort to replicate nearly 200 preclinical cancer experiments that generated buzz from 2010 to 2012 found that only about a quarter could be reproduced.
After eight years, a project that tried to reproduce the results of key cancer biology studies has finally concluded.

After not seeing my brother for a year, and then receiving a call from a supposed leading cancer center about his terrible condition, I was appalled. It made me think of how some of the chemicals they placed in IV's were so dangerous, they had spill kits, and warning of the dangers if spilled on the skin. This report makes me wonder of how may patients are victims of cruel treatments that never really were examined at a level they should have been examined.

To describe my brother is to describe someone that was so far gone, he soon became incoherent, his wasted body was too weak to stand, and the coma he fell into was only ended by his death. Modern medicine? Hardly. It can be as horrendous as that in the Middle Ages.
