"The last complete dataset on the subject showed nearly 15,000 cases of rape or sexual assault in K-12 public schools that happened on school grounds during the 2017-2018 school year.
That's almost 7,000 more K-12 students being sexually assaulted on school grounds than the total number of handgun murders in the country.
