"There is only one area of State Government that tells all Republican legislators and voters, in essence “we hate all you stand for! Now give us more money!”

Only universities can advocate relentlessly for a 

• far Leftest woke agenda, 
• fighting free speech, 
• individual liberty, 
• advocating a woke socialist agenda, 
• spending mountains of state resources advocating a critical race theory agenda, 
• lockdowns, 
• mask mandates, 
• vaccination mandates that made no scientific sense, and 
• yet thrusts their hands out demanding “we will advocate all these destructive philosophies to propagate to your kids so in return give us mountains more money!”

All of this while they refuse to reduce full-time professors in the face of massive declining enrollments, adding huge new buildings to the exploding cost of fashionable facilities and arenas that really make the administration board members and Regents really swoon. 

So take a look at the enrollment declines and then take a look at the amount of money we recently gave them in their huge budgets increases.
Michigan House and Senate conference committees moved a $50.7 billion general omnibus budget and $2.2 billion higher education budget, including a 6.4% increase in higher education aid."
