...But you can tell a lot about a society by what it will not say. 

• And through the whole of the last two years almost nobody in any position of authority dared issue any public lessons about this.
• By contrast, there was very scant evidence that a little cloth mask could save you from the virus. Yet we were all forced to wear them. 
• There was no evidence that children were at any risk from the virus. Yet we shut all the schools. 

But when it came to the question of obesity and the virus nobody dared say anything..."
