"If you think of the current assault on the mind, body and senses, it helps to think of it as the Cloward Piven strategy applied to the mind.
The husband and wife team of sociologists, Richard Andrew Cloward and his wife Frances Fox Piven, both longtime "democratic socialists", proposed the “Cloward-Piven Strategy” that seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by 

• 
  overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, 
• thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse, 
  
• to be rebuilt, of course, in the image of Karl Marx.

Where the main target of this strategy was the welfare system - basically overwhelming through a proposed “massive drive to recruit the poor onto the welfare rolls,” calculating that the system would be bankrupted if even a fraction of potential welfare recipients were to demand their entitlements. 

The result, the lovely couple predicted, would be “a profound financial and political crisis” that would unleash “powerful forces … for major economic reform at the national level.”
Now imagine your mind as the welfare system and the flood of progressive ideas and actions as welfare recipients, demanding shares of time and brain cells in your mind.
Then it all will make sense."
