"...During the latest episode of “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” the host explained that a member of his production team had signed up for the Times’ monthly subscription nearly a year ago.
When the monthly fee increased to $17 the decision was made to cancel the subscription and a representative for the Times told them in April the requested cancelation would go through.
In May, the bill came through again anyway, and after a second call to cancel the subscription, they were billed yet again for the month of May.
“So, we called the Times to find out what’s going on. Within minutes, the customer service reps of The New York Times confessed that the company is committing fraud. That’s not an overstatement. It’s what happened.””
...Naturally, the next recourse was to seek a refund for the bills after the request for cancelation had been submitted. However, that effort was stymied by “the system” as well, as the representative laid out..."
