Half-truth is a full-lie!-----Here's an interesting example of how media lies

"Here's an interesting example of how media lies. Norah O'Donnell is an anchor and managing editor of CBS Evening News, so her comments are relevant. See her tweet that the TDS crowd will take to mean Donald Trump lied about having his passports seized by the FBI.
  • In fact, the FBI did seize Trump's passports, they later returned them.
  • So O'Donnell is technically correct in saying that "the FBI is NOT in possession" of those passports, but the implication that Trump lied makes her statement a lie.
And the seizure of the passports matters because it indicates an excessively broad "seize everything" warrant, and thus illegal. Warrants are not supposed to justify arbitrary targeting and fishing, warrants must be specific as to what is being searched for. Given a legal warrant, the FBI agents would have had no basis to seize the passports in the first place. So we've got a Gestapo-class FBI at work, and a Pravda-class media to back them up. Scary times."

“NEW: According to a DOJ official, the FBI is NOT in possession of former President Trump's passports. Trump had accused the FBI of stealing his three passports during the search of his Mar-a-Lago home.”

Buried lede: “…and managing editor of CBS Evening News…”
On a downward trajectory of credibility since Cronkite lied about the Tet Offensive.

Sophistry a very effective weapon. Only works if you control the media. Until GOPers understand their most powerful enemy is the lib-media, we can never truly win. Fighting dems without fighting their media-Goebbels is a fools game.
