"One third of homes in the United States have gas stoves in the kitchen, and according to a study from last year, if people don't turn their hoods on while cooking, using natural gas can emit particulates linked to health issues.
- But of even more concern to the researchers, unburned methane from natural gas is adding to climate change (cuz of course).
- But since most of the methane emissions were recorded when the stoves were off, using the stove less wouldn't help lower emissions.
