New York Gov. Kathy Hochul quietly added a proposal to ban natural gas heating and appliances from new buildings in her "New York Housing Compact" plan.
Hochul unveiled the strategy during her state-of-the-state address on Jan. 10, calling for the ban of fossil fuels by 2025 for newly built structures on a smaller scale, and by 2028 for larger ones.

New York City is filled with old buildings, and refurbishing them is cheaper than demolition and building new. The law as described will only increase costs with new building, increase regulatory powers, and those with any resources will leave as fast as they can.
If this madness continues, New York will find the biggest ghetto in the world is the home of the majority of the citizens of the state. How they vote will probably continue the downhill slide into total ignorance.
