"You're not allowed to make legitimate points or ask legit questions anymore lest you be demanded to give an apology or be canceled (or both in many cases). 

Guy Pearce, who is a great actor and played trans in a movie, made the mistake of making the same point I've made several times: if only trans--and not straight/normal--actors can play trans roles then why are trans allowed to play straight roles? 

• But he made the mistake of assuming you're allowed to be reasonable and ask reasonable questions. 
• Here's a tip: only straight whites can be racist and trans can play whatever role they want, etc. 
• There is no two-way street or sanity in this world. So now, of course and predictably, Pearce is doing mega back flips on the apology treadmill. 

So sad.
