"...they are depriving Trump of any kind of defense, much less an affirmative one, and just like the J6 Show Committee, asking for him to be found guilty without facing a jury of his peers.
Every bit of this feels unconstitutional and if allowed to proceed, there is little to stop this process from filtering into other criminal and civil trials where, instead of being innocent until proven guilty, the process will be based on the idea that the accused is guilty until proven innocent.
  • I've seen so many idiots on Twitter/X claiming that if Trump was innocent, he would have produced proof by now. 
  • Either they don't understand the law or they have simply adopted the Nina Totenberg Principle of "It's the seriousness of the charge that matters" she developed during the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings...
