HOWELL — As Donald Trump prepared to take the stage in Grand Rapids, his first rally since an assassination attempt in Pennsylvania, white supremacists, some of whom voiced support for the former president, were preparing to demonstrate in Howell.

There were about a dozen participants, with faces covered and signs in hand, gathered on the lawn of the Livingston County Historic Courthouse...
In a video, the demonstrators repeatedly chanted: "We love Hitler. We love Trump."
