Graduated With Dishonor
If we failed to “make the grade”,
Then in THAT grade we stayed
Until such time as we got it right!
We were taught to read and write.
We learned civics, we learned science,
As well as history’s clear guidance.
There was no such thing
As “no child left behind”.
Because advancing the ill educated
Was believed to be too unkind.
Yet, now we see the rot that has wrought
By the dystopian results that such
Misguided policies have bought
With all the wasted hard earned money
Our bureaucrats have wasted.
As those who cannot read and write…
With “honors” have graduated?
