LIBERTY REVIEW
LIBERTY REVIEW:

I struggled with regret. I could have at least been around planes,
right? But, forcing something when it
doesn’t feel right tends to have other consequences...

Hometown
Beach Town
LST 393
By Tammy Derouin
I spent the better part of my
younger years hoping to leave my hometown.
I didn’t have a legitimate grievance.
My hometown didn’t wrong me or make life difficult. I would have experienced the same ups and
downs had I grown up in a different location.
There were a couple opportunities
which could have put my hometown behind me but I passed. It just didn’t feel right. I attempted to force the issue by applying to
just about every airline in the sky. My
plan was to be a flight attendant. I
would travel and eventually land on greener grass.
Back in the late 1980’s there
were many airlines, so many possibilities!
I eagerly applied and wondered which one I would choose. Rejection letters began to arrive. They rejected me as rapidly as I applied. A
height standard was strictly enforced. I
fell short of the bar, way short of the bar.
The good Lord has a sense of humor, although I didn’t think it was very
funny at the time. My height or lack
thereof was predetermined. I never had a
chance.
The more I tried to leave, the
more resistance I encountered. I began
to rethink the possibilities I had turned down. The one which kept me wondering
the most was the military. I wanted to fly;
I wanted to be a pilot. Women weren’t trained to be military pilots when I was
of the age to join. I walked away from
the recruiter’s desk.

"What will Iran do with $150 BILLION? Eric Shawn and Ambassador John Bolton explain the enormous danger that Obama is putting the United States as well as Israel an the rest of the world in.
Iran has kept none of their bargains, continues to proclaim “Death to America,” and terrorize the world, yet somehow the politicians of this country will not stop Obama in his tracks . . . even when the vast majority of Americans on both sides want nothing to do with Obama’s Deal."

Ted Cruz’s Harsh Words for Obama After Execution-Style Murder of Texas Deputy: ‘From the Top on Down’ | TheBlaze.com:
"Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz is blaming President Barack Obama’s “harsh rhetoric” toward law enforcement for the execution-style murder of a sheriff’s deputy near Houston over the weekend.
The GOP presidential candidate, who is from Houston, made the comment during a campaign appearance in Milford, New Hampshire, on Monday after he was asked by reporters about the fatal shooting of Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy Darren Goforth.
“Cops across this country are feeling the assault. They’re feeling the assault from the president — from the top on down — as we see, whether it’s in Ferguson or Baltimore. The response of senior officials, of the president, of the attorney general, is to vilify law enforcement,” Cruz said, "

14,000 Abandoned Wind Turbines Litter the United States
14,000 Abandoned Wind Turbines Litter the United States | American Elephants:
"The towering symbols of a fading religion, over 14,000 wind turbines, abandoned, rusting, slowly decaying.
When it is time to clean up after a failed idea, no green environmentalists are to be found.
Wind was free, natural, harnessing Earth’s bounty for the benefit of all mankind, sounded like a good idea.
Wind turbines, like solar panels, break down.
They produce less energy before they break down than the energy it took to make them.
The wind does not blow all the time, or even most of the time.
When it is not blowing, they require full-time backup from conventional power plants.
Without government subsidy, they are unaffordable.
With governments facing financial troubles, the subsidies are unaffordable.
It was a nice dream, a very expensive dream, but it didn’t work.
...When they are abandoned, getting the turbines removed is a major problem.
They are highly unsightly, and they are huge, and that’s a lot of material to get rid of.
Unfortunately the same areas that are good for siting wind farms are a natural pass for migrating birds.
Altamont’s turbines have been shut down four months out of every year for migrating birds after environmentalists filed suit.
According to the Golden Gate Audubon Society 75-110 Golden Eagles, 380 Burrowing Owls, 300 Red-Tailed Hawks and 333 American Kestrels are killed by the turbines every year.
An Alameda County Community Development Agency study points to 10,000 annual bird deaths from Altamont wind turbines.
The Audubon Society makes up numbers like the EPA, but there’s a reason why they call them bird Cuisinarts.
Palm Springs has enacted an ordinance requiring their removal from San Gorgonio Pass, but unless something else changes abandoned turbines will remain a rotting eyesores, or the taxpayers who have already paid through the nose for overpriced energy and crony-capitalist tax scams will have to foot the bill for their removal.
President Obama’s offshore wind farms will be far more expensive than those sited in California’s ideal wind locations.
Salt water is far more damaging than sun and rain, and offshore turbines don’t last as long.
But nice tax scams for his crony-capitalist backers will work well as long as he can blame it all on saving the planet."

‘No Authoritative List’: Federal Gov’t Lacks Precise Number on Just How Many Bureaucracies Exist
"To find out how big the federal government is, the federal government itself is no place to get any conclusive answer, with the count on existing federal agencies listed as low as 60 or more than 400.
Office of Personnel Management spokeswoman Lindsay Haake referred TheBlaze to USA.gov, which lists 389 separate agencies.
She also referred to the website, BestPlacesToWork.org also lists a total of 389.
Haake said number came from the Federal Employment Viewpoint Survey.
However, that’s not the source that Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) used at a hearing on June 10 on the federal regulatory system.
“The Federal Register indicates there are over 430 departments, agencies, and sub-agencies in the federal government,” Grassley said.
“And the pronouncements of this ever-expanding administrative state impact nearly every aspect of Americans’ daily lives.”

IRS Could Not Verify 40% Of $15 Billion Of Affordable Care Act Tax Credits Due To Lack Of Data From Health Insurance Exchanges
TaxProf Blog:
"The Affordable Care Act created the refundable Premium Tax Credit (PTC) to assist eligible taxpayers with paying their health insurance premiums.
...According to the IRS, almost $11 billion in APTCs was paid to insurers in Fiscal Year 2014.
...For example, the IRS did not receive Exchange Periodic Data for approximately 1.7 million (40 percent) of the approximately 4.2 million Federal Exchange enrollment records and did not receive the Exchange Periodic Data from six of the 15 State Exchanges.
Because of incomplete and unreported data from the Exchanges, the IRS is unable to ensure that taxpayers claiming the PTC purchased insurance through an Exchange and properly reconciled APTCs received.
However, the IRS has developed processes to identify erroneous PTC claims.
Our review of these processes identified that 79 of the 80 reject code conditions and 16 of the 20 PTC error codes were working as intended.
Computer programming errors resulted in the reject and PTC error codes not always identifying tax returns with the particular error condition.
The IRS plans to make programming corrections."

US government suing company!----- Muslima Stewardess Refuses to Serve Alcohol, Hamas-CAIR Claims Airline Violated Her Constitutional Rights
Muslima Stewardess Refuses to Serve Alcohol, Hamas-CAIR Claims Airline Violated Her Constitutional Rights | Pamela Geller:
"Another Muslim workplace lawsuit from CAIR in order to impose Islam on the workplace.
This is what they do.
A Muslim flight attendant has filed a complaint with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), claiming she was suspended from her job for not serving alcohol.
Why would a devout Muslim want to be a flight attendant when half your job is serving alcohol?
This is just like the devout Muslim who sued soft porn retailer Abercrombie and Fitch because she wanted to wear the hijab.
The EEOC is suing Star Transport for rightfully terminating two Muslims who refused to do their job.
If these Muslim truck drivers don’t want to deliver alcohol, then they shouldn’t have taken a job in which part of their duties would be to deliver alcohol.
It’s that simple.
But no, Islamic supremacists chip, chip, chip away at the establishment clause, and in doing so, impose Islam on the secular marketplace.
Muslim lawsuits against Hertz, Wal-Mart, Target, Disney and a host of other American businesses for special rights, special accommodation have been largely successful creating a special rights for a special class of people — which is an accordance with Islam (in which Muslims are superior to the kuffar).
But it goes against every American tenet of individual rights and separation of mosque and state. Someone ought to remind the EEOC that their name is Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Equal as in no special rights for any particular class.
Every accommodation gives way to more demands.
Everywhere American mores conflict with sharia, it is our mores that must give way.

Bloated U.S. voter rolls could lead to lawsuits
Bloated U.S. voter rolls could lead to lawsuits - Washington Times:
Berrien County TEA Party added 2 new photos.
From WashTimes:
"America’s voter rolls are so bloated that dozens of counties have more people registered than there are adults living there, according to two new studies released Thursday that the authors said could lead to lawsuits forcing states to clean things up.
True the Vote, a Texas group that works for clean elections, counted 136 counties with voter registration rates of more than 100 percent of their adult population.
Meanwhile the Public Interest Legal Foundation, a public interest law firm based in Alexandria, used a slightly different methodology and counted 141 counties.
“At the end of the day you can point to the Justice Department for allowing this to go on,” Mr. Churchwell said, blaming the Obama administration for not pursuing easy cases that could have pressured jurisdictions to keep their voter rolls clean.
The National Voter Registration Act, better known as “Motor Voter” because it allows registering at motor vehicle bureaus, also requires states keep their voter rolls clean, in order to try to prevent fraudulent votes from being cast."

SHARON TYLER FAILS TO FIX VOTER ROLL ISSUE AFTER 32 MONTHS IN OFFICE. COUNTY FACES LIKELY LAWSUIT!
Berrien County Clerk Sharon Tyler and 23 other Michigan Clerks have received notice from the Public Interest Legal Foundation that they have more registered voters than voting age population.
In an article in West Michigan Politics Tyler stated: "this issue has been a priority since she took office in January 2013."

"This was an issue I ran for office on 2012 to resolve," Tyler said. "This is an issue my office has been working on and even hired additional staff."
Great... so the real question is why has it not been dealt with in the 32 months she has been Clerk, especially if this was the issue she made a priority, ran on and hired additional staff to resolve?
And at additional cost to Berrien County's hardworking taxpayers!!
Taking a look at just the City of Benton Harbor, according to the 2013 Census figures there are only 6,739 citizens over the age of 18.
Yet according to the voter rolls in the 2014 November General Election there were 9,900 Registered Voters!

Assuming every single person the age of 18 or older registered to vote, that still leaves Berrien County with 3,161 phantom voters in just the City of Benton Harbor!!

Ted Cruz Powerfully Calls Out RINOs Mitch McConnell and John Boehner: It’s Scathing | The PolitiStick:
"Presidential candidate Ted Cruz, a constitutional conservative, blew the lid again off the corrupt GOP establishment and their conniving, scheming and treasonous behind the scenes activities which fly in the face of their public appearances.
Ted Cruz appeared on the Mark Levin show on Friday, telling the leading conservative talk show, constitutional scholar and best-selling author that RINO GOP leaders John Boehner and Mitch McConnell were again preparing to “roll over” to Obama, but this time it’s not on Obamacare, or funding Obama’s illegal amnesty, or raising the debt ceiling, or funding Planned Butcherhood."

Guess what word (hint:It's the name of a US president. And it ain't "Bush") is NEVER mentioned in this article-----The surging ranks of America's ultrapoor
The surging ranks of America's ultrapoor - CBS News:
"By one dismal measure, America is joining the likes of Third World countries.
The number of U.S. residents who are struggling to survive on just $2 a day has more than doubled since 1996, placing 1.5 million households and 3 million children in this desperate economic situation.
That's according to "$2.00 a Day: Living on Almost Nothing in America," a book from publisher Houghton Mifflin Harcourt that will be released on Sept. 1.
The measure of poverty isn't arbitrary -- it's the threshold the World Bank uses to measure global poverty in the developed world.
While it may be the norm to see families in developing countries such as Bangladesh and Ethiopia struggle to survive on such meager income, the growing ranks of America's ultrapoor may be shocking, given that the U.S. is considered one of the most developed capitalist countries in the world.
"Most of us would say we would have trouble understanding how families in the county as rich as ours could live on so little," said author Kathryn Edin, who spoke on a conference call to discuss the book, which she wrote with Luke Shaefer.
Edin is the Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of Sociology at Johns Hopkins University.
"These families, contrary to what many would expect, are workers, and their slide into poverty is a failure of the labor market and our safety net, as well as their own personal circumstances..."
