0421 - The city of Venice was founded.


1669 - Mount Etna in Sicily erupted destroying Nicolosi. 20,000 people were killed.


1901 - The Mercedes was introduced by Daimler at the five-day "Week of Nice" in Nice, France.


1902 - In Russia, 567 students were found guilty of "political disaffection." 95 students were exiled to Siberia.


1911 - In New York City, 146 women were killed in fire at the Triangle Shirtwaist Company in New York City. The owners of the company were indicted on manslaughter charges because some of the employees had been behind locked doors in the factory. The owners were later acquitted and in 1914 they were ordered to pay damages to each of the twenty-three families that had sued.


1954 - RCA manufactured its first color TV set and began mass production.


1971 - The Boston Patriots became the New England Patriots.


1983 - The U.S. Congress passed legislation to rescue the U.S. social security system from bankruptcy.

'Whataboutism' is a Nonsensical Propaganda Term Used to Defend the Failed Status Quo | The Daily Sheeple:
"If you spend any time on Twitter, you’ll probably be familiar with the latest pathetic attempt to defend and insulate the U.S. status quo from criticism. 
It centers around the usage of an infantile and meaningless term, “whataboutism.”

Let’s begin with one particularly absurd accusation of “whataboutism” promoted by NPR last year:

When O’Reilly countered that “Putin is a killer,” Trump responded, “There are a lot of killers. You got a lot of killers. What, you think our country is so innocent?”

This particular brand of changing the subject is called “whataboutism” — a simple rhetorical tactic heavily used by the Soviet Union and, later, Russia. And its use in Russia helps illustrate how it could be such a useful tool now, in America. As Russian political experts told NPR, it’s an attractive tactic for populists in particular, allowing them to be vague but appear straight-talking at the same time.

The idea behind whataboutism is simple: Party A accuses Party B of doing something bad. Party B responds by changing the subject and pointing out one of Party A’s faults — “Yeah? Well what about that bad thing you did?” (Hence the name.)...

This is a really embarrassing take by NPR. 
First, the author tries to associate a tactic that’s been around since humans first wandered into caves — deflecting attention away from yourself by pointing out the flaws in others — into some uniquely nefarious Russian propaganda tool. Second, that’s not even what Trump did in this example.

In his response to O’Reilly, Trump wasn’t using “whataboutism” to deflect away from his own sins. 
Rather, he offered a rare moment of self-reflection about the true role played by the U.S. government around the world. 
This isn’t “whataboutism,” it’s questioning the hypocrisy and abuse of power of one’s own government.

3) After Trump won the GOP primary Hillary went to Fusion GPS & hired them to plant Trump/Russia colluison stories in the US political media
4) To facilitate this planting of Trump/Russia colluison stories in the US political media, Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson hired an ex-British spy named Christopher Steele, who set to work compiling allegations against Trump.
5) Steele created what became known as 'The Steele Dossier', a series of 2nd and 3rd hand rumors and stories supposedly told to Steele by anonymous Russian sources, some of whom are claimed to be Russian gov't officials..."

"...In a move that surprised no one who has paid attention to college campuses for the past few years, last night’s speech by “Catholic nationalist” Faith Goldy at Wilfrid Laurier University was shut down before it even started.
Laurier Students for Open Inquiry, led by the academic-freedom martyr Lindsay Shepherd, had invited Goldy precisely so her critics could engage her in debate on her scheduled topic: “Ethnocide: Multiculturalism and European Canadian Identity.”
Because debate is so, like, fascist or something, some moron pulled a fire alarm instead, depriving the 175 people waiting in line for the event their right to hear Goldy and perhaps even challenge her. 
(Shepherd said she had to turn away another hundred for capacity reasons.)
The CBC reports that more 100 people were protesting outside with signs and chants such as their new slogan “No Nazis at Laurier” (all fine and good), but police evacuated the building when the fire alarm was pulled five minutes into the scheduled start time, before Goldy was even introduced. Shepherd later told attendees the talk had been canceled.
The fire alarm is the last refuge of the idiot Left, which exults in lawbreaking in defense of squelching views that diverge even slightly from its own.
It’s been deployed to shut down an anti-PC documentary screening at the University of California-Irvine, disrupt journalist Cathy Young’s critical talk on radical feminism at Canada’s Saint Paul University, and perhaps just add to the mayhem when a violent mob tried to shut down Ben Shapiro’s speech at California State University-Los Angeles..."
