Look Closely: Photos From 'March for Our Lives' Reveal Incredible Hypocrisy:
"The “March for Our Lives” protests have dominated the news and social media over the weekend… but while liberals spread an anti-gun narrative, sharp viewers noticed something shocking and hypocritical about the demonstrations.
Since the tragic shooting in Parkland, Florida, the left has singled out guns as the cause of deadly crime. While declaring that the National Rifle Association — a group comprised of law-abiding gun owners — was somehow to blame for the actions of a mentally deranged murderer, activists have made their message clear: Guns are evil and need to be banned.
Those same activists sure don’t seem to understand irony. While protesters waved signs and shouted for guns to be banned, they didn’t notice one glaring detail: They were surrounded by guns and kept protected by heavily-armed men. So much for that narrative!"

FBI Scandal Over Andrew McCabe's 'Lost' Pension Isn't What You Think | Stock News & Stock Market Analysis - IBD:
"But the Inspector General's office of the Justice Department has accused McCabe of misconduct arising from improper contacts with the news media and misleading FBI investigators about the Hillary Clinton investigation. In case you're wondering, "misleading" is a government euphemism for "lying."
But what really got us was that, after working at the FBI for just 22 years, McCabe's pension package was valued at a whopping $1.8 million. And even if he loses that, as someone who is covered by the Federal Employees Retirement System, he'll still get a pension. It'll just be smaller than his FBI pension, and he'll have to wait until 60 to collect it, but it will be generous nonetheless.
Please remember, McCabe was fired on recommendation of the FBI's own Office of Professional Responsibility. It wasn't vindictiveness."

CLOUD Act becomes law, increases government access to online info
CLOUD Act becomes law, increases government access to online info:
"The federal spending bill signed by US President Donald Trump on Friday does more than fund the budget.
It also makes it easier for law enforcement agencies to demand access to online information no matter what country the data is stored in.
Lawmakers added the CLOUD Act (PDF), which stands for Clarifying Lawful Overseas Use of Data Act, to the spending bill before the final House and Senate votes Thursday.
It updates the rules for criminal investigators who want to see emails, documents and other communications stored on the internet.
Now law enforcement won't be blocked from accessing someone's Outlook account, for example, just because Microsoft happens to store the user's email on servers in Ireland.
The law also lets the US enter into agreements to send information from US servers to criminal investigators in other countries with limited case-by-case review of requests...
...Brad Smith, Microsoft President and chief legal officer, said in a statement Wednesday the bill was "a strong statute and a good compromise," and added that "it gives tech companies like Microsoft the ability to stand up for the privacy rights of our customers around the world."...

Heritage Foundation: Eight Stubborn Facts Regarding Gun Violence in America (VIDEO)

"In the latest installment in the Heritage Foundation’s “Heritage Explains” series, the think-tank has provided eight stubborn facts that gun-grabbers continue to overlook as they tug on America’s heartstrings to coerce people into giving up their Second Amendment right.
Here are the eight inconvenient truths:
1. Violent crime is down and has been on the decline for decades
“In 1993, there were seven homicides by firearm for every 100,000 Americans, according to a Pew Research Center analysis of data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. By 2013, that figure had fallen by nearly half, to 3.6 — a total of 11,208 firearm homicides. The number of victims of crimes involving guns that did not result in death (such as robberies) declined even more precipitously, from 725 per 100,000 people in 1993 to 175 in 2013,” the Washington Post reports.
2. The biggest safety concerns with guns are suicides and illegally owned handguns, not mass shootings..."

Giddy Up – DOJ Admits They Have a Grand Jury Empaneled in FBI and DOJ Investigation… | The Last Refuge:
"Oh, what’s that? Yes, the DOJ has to review the demand for evidence because release of those documents might conflict with ongoing Grand Jury information (evidence). Yes, that means a Grand Jury is impaneled, exactly as we expected.
Yes, that also means there are “law enforcement actions” currently ongoing as a result of the prosecutor assigned to reviewing the evidence discovered by Inspector General Horowitz.
Are there still those who doubt?"

Knowingly exposing others to HIV will no longer be a felony in California:

How the Nazis Used Gun Control | National Review
How the Nazis Used Gun Control | National Review:
"The Weimar Republic’s well-intentioned gun registry became a tool for evil.
The perennial gun-control debate in America did not begin here.
The same arguments for and against were made in the 1920s in the chaos of Germany’s Weimar Republic, which opted for gun registration.
Law-abiding persons complied with the law, but the Communists and Nazis committing acts of political violence did not.
In 1931, Weimar authorities discovered plans for a Nazi takeover in which Jews would be denied food and persons refusing to surrender their guns within 24 hours would be executed.
They were written by Werner Best, a future Gestapo official.
In reaction to such threats, the government authorized the registration of all firearms and the confiscation thereof, if required for “public safety.”
The interior minister warned that the records must not fall into the hands of any extremist group..."

Now social media accused of violating anti-terror laws
Now social media accused of violating anti-terror laws:
"On the heels of a massive scandal in which Facebook gave political consultants access to members’ personal data, there’s a new charge that social media organizations are violating an anti-terror law.
Uzi Shaya, a former senior officer in the Israeli intelligence community, writes for the Gatestone Institute that the “failure by the social media networks to enforce the prevention of terror-related content on their sites is, in fact, a direct violation of the Antiterrorism Act and the Material Supply Statutes.”
Further, the “general public is also in its right to have the protections of the Community Decency Act of 1996 cover content on social media,” he writes."

‘Britain’s ‘worst ever’ child grooming scandal exposed: Hundreds of young girls raped, beaten, sold for sex and some even KILLED.’
(3) Iphoneconservative - Posts:
On March 11, the Sunday Mirror headline read ‘Britain’s ‘worst ever’ child grooming scandal exposed: Hundreds of young girls raped, beaten, sold for sex and some even KILLED.’
Douglas Murray's piece below, details the horrific scope of the crimes revealed by the Mirror's investigation.
Like the scandals in Rotherham, Rochdale, Oxfordshire and a growing list of other places, it seems that the victims from the town of Telford are, once again, white British girls and the perpetrators men of ‘Asian’ background.
Of course while in most other situations the word ‘Asian’ means ‘Asian’, for these purposes ‘Asian’ means ‘men of Muslim background, mainly Pakistani’..."

Student op-ed: 'Toxic masculinity' responsible for hatred of vegans - The College Fix
Student op-ed: 'Toxic masculinity' responsible for hatred of vegans - The College Fix:"
"...Writing in the Texas State University Star, Zach Ienatsch claims those who harbor a “passionate hatred for plant-based diets” (and those who partake in them) are “common and accepted” because of TM (toxic masculinity) and “a culture of violence.”
You can throw in rape culture and homophobia to the mix, too, he says.
You can throw in rape culture and homophobia to the mix, too, he says.
Part of the reason may be because most vegans and vegetarians are female (or, as Ienatsch says, identify as female):
Whether one wants to admit it or not, the idea of the plant-based diet has taken on a feminine identity. Common reasons people remove meat from their diet, such as compassion for animals and the planet, are also considered to be typically feminine. ...For men, the decision to remove meat from one’s diet is often met with the stigma of not being a “real man,” incorrectly identifying meat consumption as a vital part of masculinity.
Ienatsch appears to have gotten this concept from Penn State sociology professor Anne DeLessio-Parson, author of
Doing vegetarianism to destabilize the meat-masculinity nexus in La Plata, Argentina.

War on plastic may do more harm than good, warns think tank - BBC News
"A green think tank has warned of the risk of unintended consequences from the wave of concern about plastics.
The Green Alliance, a parliamentary group, said plastics played a valuable role and couldn't be simply abolished.
It wants to transform the notion of a "War on Plastics" into a "War on Plastic Litter".
The group - like many environmentalists - gave a grudging welcome to Chancellor Philip Hammond's call for evidence on taxes on single use plastics.

The group - like many environmentalists - gave a grudging welcome to Chancellor Philip Hammond's call for evidence on taxes on single use plastics.
- Plastics tax eyed in litter crackdown
- Plastic straws could be banned in UK
- The inventions cutting plastic consumption
- What are supermarkets doing to fight plastic?
But it warned that rejecting all plastic food packaging could prove counter-productive.
Agriculture is a major source of greenhouse gas emissions, so reducing food waste is vital.
Well-packed food - perhaps in plastic - helps protect food from damage, so it can actually save on greenhouse gases.
Finite land
The other potential area of concern is the substitution of plastics with plant-based materials...
So where do solutions lie?
Green Alliance suggests:
Green Alliance suggests:
- Ban products that are unnecessarily made from plastic and likely to be littered, like cotton buds and straws (Scotland has already committed to this)
- Stop using so many different types of plastic - and ensure that all types used are easily recyclable
- Develop recycling markets for the materials that remain..."

The Deep State Is in Deep Trouble | Roger L. Simon:
"Why would some "concerned citizen" suddenly leak information to ABC that Jeff Sessions was under investigation for perjuring himself (about Russia, of course) during his confirmation hearing now almost a year behind us?
Could it have something to do with the fact that the man who instigated that investigation was none other than Andrew McCabe, only recently fired by Sessions? Was someone or some group -- the ABC report specifies "sources" with an "s" -- trying to make the attorney general's act seem one of revenge, and thus illegitimate?
No doubt. But the problem is that Sessions was long ago exonerated of this charge by none other than Robert Mueller."

Amazon Deletes Reviews of Conservative Authors with No Explanation | Trending:
"Amazon frightened many conservative authors this week in a mass deletion of reviews.
Some authors lost almost 100 reviews on their published works.
Others lost all the reviews they had ever written on Amazon.
Some lost both...
"I hate that absolutism, with no way of finding out what happened," said a conservative author who chose to remain anonymous for fear of more reprisals.
"I lost all my reviews with no explanation and then they were reinstated after I complained."
Some are questioning if it was a test run for more censorship to come.
"This does happen from time to time," said Fontaine.
"But this is too much of a coincidence." CLFA members feel targeted by Amazon. Declan Finn, author of several series, including a popular Catholic spy thriller, reported big losses. "
Yes, I did lose reviews, both those on my novels and those on books I've published.
I went from 315 to 238 in the blink of an eye," he told PJM...
While I generally try not to be paranoid about political targeting, it's awfully suspicious that CLFA members lost reviews from their novels, or had all of their reviews purged from their profiles."
