A nonprofit group sued several companies that sell coffee, including Starbucks, coffee distributors and retailers in 2010.
The lawsuit claimed those companies violated state law, which requires them to warn consumers about chemicals in the roasting process that may cause cancer. 
One of those chemicals is acrylamide, which is a carcinogen..."

It measures U.S. temperatures. 
Unfortunately, it seems to be a captive of the global warming religion. 
Its data are fraudulent.
What do we mean by fraudulent? 
How about this: 
NOAA has made repeated "adjustments" to its data, for the presumed scientific reason of making the data sets more accurate.
Nothing wrong with that. 
Except, all their changes point to one thing — lowering previously measured temperatures to show cooler weather in the past, and raising more recent temperatures to show warming in the recent present.
This creates a data illusion of ever-rising temperatures to match the increase in CO2 in the Earth's atmosphere since the mid-1800s, which global warming advocates say is a cause-and-effect relationship. 
The more CO2, the more warming.
But the actual measured temperature record shows something different: 
There have been hot years and hot decades since the turn of the last century, and colder years and colder decades. 
But the overall measured temperature shows no clear trend over the last century, at least not one that suggests runaway warming.."

"Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who has yet to produce evidence of Trump campaign collusion with Russia, has turned over all of the evidence regarding Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn to a federal judge, according to a report.
Investigative journalist Sara Carter reported two of her sources said Mueller’s office complied with a federal judge’s order regarding the former national security adviser.
Flynn pleaded guilty late last year to one count of lying to the FBI, even though former FBI Director James Comey stated the agents who interviewed Flynn did not believe he was lying about a conversation with former Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak in December 2016.
However, the judge who was presiding over the case, Rudolph Contreras, suddenly was removed, and the new judge, Emmet Sullivan, ordered the material delivered from Mueller to Flynn’s lawyers and the court.
Sullivan had said: “The government is further directed to produce all discoverable evidence in a readily usable form. For example, the government must produce documents as they are kept in the usual course of business or must organize and label them clearly.”"

Did you hear? They’re talking about repealing the Second Amendment. It started with former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens and George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley. And it sure does seem like those calls prompted skeptics of American gun culture to echo their remarks. Turley and Stevens were joined this week by op-ed writers in the pages of Esquire and the Seattle Times. Democratic candidates for federal office have even enlisted in the ranks of those calling for an amendment to curtail the freedoms in the Bill of Rights. Of course, this is just the most mainstream invocation of anti-Second Amendment themes that have been expressed unashamedly for years, from liberal activists like Michael Moore to conservative opinion writers at the New York Times. Those calling for the repeal of the right to bear arms today are only echoing similar calls made years ago in venues ranging from Rolling Stone, MSNBC, and Vanity Fair to the Jesuit publication America Magazine.

A number of extensive analyses have been conducted, some supporting and others refuting the value of fish oils to the cardiovascular system, along with studies of other purported health benefits that also have had mixed results.
...Enthusiasm for fish oils originated with reports decades ago that Eskimos, who consume lots of cold water fish, have surprisingly low rates of heart disease despite a diet very high in animal fat.
...“This idea has since been pretty discredited; we really don’t know if the Eskimos got heart disease or not,” said Malden C. Nesheim, emeritus professor of nutrition at Cornell University, who chaired an Institute of Medicine committee assessing the risks and benefits of seafood in the early 2000s.
