Publius: Video: As the Rich Get Richer, the Poor Get Richer — The Patriot Post:
"Yes, the rich are getting richer—but the poor are getting richer faster.
And what's driving that process?
The market.
“...Look at the most basic measures:

  • Literacy.
  • Longevity.
  • Infant mortality.
  • Calorie intake.
  • Height.
  • More and more people are being lifted out of poverty.
I think of the changes just in my lifetime.
When I was born, in 1971, an American worker had to earn a month’s salary to be able to afford a TV set.
Now, it’s two days..."

Home Security

By Tammy Derouin

The amount of resistance to securing our borders is difficult to comprehend. Why is there so much opposition to keeping our country safe? I think the average American understands that security is important. An open border policy is irresponsible and will continue to cause more harm than good.
Image result for free clip art Home Security

Most Americans are not opposed to immigration. We just want those who wish to live here to knock on the front door and go through the proper procedures to become citizens and a productive part of our society. Unfortunately, those who push open borders have a political agenda. They continually try to demonize the law and law enforcement. The Left reaches into their bag of tricks and tries to use labels such as racism or felonious phobias to turn the enforcement of the law into some kind of evil deed.

Logic is completely disregarded, by certain elements, when it comes to protecting our country. The president has been challenged at every turn for trying to enforce the law and for trying to secure our borders, in other words, he has been challenged for doing his job. Rouge, agenda driven judges have hampered the duty of the President of the United States. Their actions severely compromise the security of the American people. What possible reason would make sense for not protecting our borders? What could be the desired outcome of allowing anyone into our home without care or concern?

Sadly, the only argument which makes sense is the willful destruction and destabilization of the United States......

Knife crime: top doctor calls for pointed kitchen knives to be banned | UK | News | Express.co.uk

Knife crime: top doctor calls for pointed kitchen knives to be banned | UK | News | Express.co.uk:
"Dr John Crichton, the new chairman of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in Scotland, wants the sale of pointed kitchen knives to be banned to help reduce the number of fatal stabbings.
...Dr Crichton, who took on the role of chairman in June this year, is championing a switch to so-called “R”-bladed knives, which have rounded points and are far less effective as weapons.
He said that research shows many attacks, particularly in households where there has been a history of violence, involve kitchen knives because they are so easily accessible.
Dr Crichton believes a switch from sharp-pointed, long-bladed knives to the new design could save lives.
He said: “This is a public health measure and public health measures are always about society deciding on a self-imposed restriction for the public good.”...

"The Justice Department on Monday appointed a U.S. attorney to oversee the gathering of documents in response to a subpoena issued by the House Judiciary Committee last month in an effort to obtain materials related to the FBI’s probe into Hillary Clinton’s private email server and potential Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act abuses.
The Justice Department is set to announce the appointment of U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois John Lausch, a Trump appointee, to oversee the agency’s compliance with the subpoena, after it missed the initial deadline given by the committee to turn over requested documents."

Mass killings are law enforcement failures that should be punished

Mass killings are law enforcement failures that should be punished:

Law enforcers might prevent more disasters like school shootings if they faced consequences for failure. Incompetence should be penalized.

Law enforcement keeps failing, and people keep dying.
See the source imageWhere are the consequences?
Where is the accountability?
Despite receiving a warning directly from the Russian government, the FBI failed to stop the Tsarnaev brothers from staging the Boston Marathon bombing
Despite having plenty of resources, the Charlottesville police failed to stop a car attack that left a woman dead.
The FBI interviewed Omar Mateen, the Orlando Pulse nightclub shooter, and considered criminally investigating him.
They didn’t — possibly because his father was an FBI informant.
The FBI also missed numerous "red flags" before the San Bernardino shooting
And despite having lots of warning, the FBI, the Broward County schools and the Broward Sheriff’s Department under Sheriff Scott Israel all failed to stop Nikolas Cruz from shooting up a high school.
And yet these repeated failures — among others — keep getting swept under the rug as we look for “solutions” to the problem of violence..."

How Pizza Night Can Cost More in Data Than Dollars
"...Even a low-key evening at home can mean handing over a trove of personal information to high-tech companies
...The smartphones, Facebook accounts and other technology products deeply embedded in modern life help people get more things done every day.
They also gather more information about us than we often realize.
But Facebook's crisis over how it handles and protects user data has led some to ask: What data am I giving up?
Imagine “Sally” sets up a pizza-and-movie night with her friend “Kristen.”

The Order
As Kristen cleans up her apartment, she turns to her Amazon Echo: “Alexa, open Domino's and place an order.”
The Domino's app installed on the Echo pulls up Kristen’s stored credit-card information. "Do you want to use your Visa ending in 1234?” Alexa asks.
The stored credit-card information is used to complete the pizza purchase. Alexa also logs the interaction, and Domino’s creates a transcript of what she said.

Alan Dershowitz: Today is a 'very dangerous day for lawyer-client relations'

Alan Dershowitz: Today is a 'very dangerous day for lawyer-client relations':

Image result for flickr commons images Alan Dershowitz""I tell [clients] on my word of honor that what you tell me is sacrosanct," he said. "And now they say, just based on probable cause ... they can burst into the office, grab all the computers, and then give it to another FBI agent and say, 'You're the firewall. We want you now to read all these confidential communications, tell us which ones we can get and which ones we can't get.'"
"If this were Hillary Clinton being investigated and they went into her lawyer's office, the ACLU would be on every television station in America, jumping up and down," he added.
"The deafening silence from the ACLU and civil libertarians about the intrusion into the lawyer-client confidentiality is really appalling," Dershowitz said."

Vaccines: Decades Of Misinformation Have Succeeded | Science 2.0

Vaccines: Decades Of Misinformation Have Succeeded | Science 2.0:
"Though less than a dozen school children will be slain by a gun in any given year, American society is mobilized with marches and media against firearms.
Meanwhile, on average 55,000 Americans will die from the flu, which has a vaccine.
In states like California, anti-vaccine sentiment ran so high on the coast that the state had to pass a law forcing parents to comply or not have their kids enrolled.
Some schools in Marin county had fewer than 30 percent of children vaccinated.
See the source imagePhilosophical exemptions just by families in the wealthiest parts of California exceeded the number of religious exemptions nationwide - by 1000 percent.
...They found that the vaccine hesitancy phenomenon started before the 1990s, and it was due to scandals, like the European thalidomide disaster of 1962, along with the emergence of new styles of parenting, second-wave feminism, and the popularization of alternative medicine.
...In the United States, we even give supplements, naturopathy and other "alternatives" to real medicine quasi-legitimacy by giving them federal funding under the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, which claims to study but really shields what used to be called folk medicine, and then alternative medicine, and then complementary medicine and is now relabeled again as integrative medicine.

The Sun will get unusually cold by 2050 and might trigger a mini ice age - IBTimes India
"A study by the University of California San Diego has said the Sun will experience a cold period where all solar activities will be reduced drastically.
Scientists warn of unusually cold Sun: Will we face another ice age?
...A study by the University of California San Diego has claimed that by 2050, the Sun is expected to become cool.
You might think "what's the big deal," but remember that this means the solar activities that create the heat of the Sun to sustain life on Earth may diminish.
And the last time it happened was in the 17th century when the Thames River froze.
Scientists call this the "Maunder Minimum".
...Researchers at the Northumbria University have claimed that a mini ice age will start by 2021 and is expected to reduce the effect of global warming, but not stop it."

Constitution Challenged As Federal Court Bans AR-15 - Conservative Daily Post

Constitution Challenged As Federal Court Bans AR-15 - Conservative Daily Post:

Image result for 2nd Amendment"Second amendment supporters know all too well the danger in banning any types of guns. While the left is quick to question why the average civilians may have a need for any particular model of firearm, this type of overreach instigates a slippery slope which soon infringes on the constitutional right to bear arms.
Devastatingly, this is already occurring in Massachusetts where a federal court made a traitorous ruling that rifles such as the AR-15 are not protected under the second amendment as they are similar to guns used for military service."
