Guess Who Was CNN DOJ Reporter When Comey Told Trump He Was Being Pressured by CNN about Dossier?:
"...In one exchange Comey told Trump that CNN was pressuring him about the anti-Trump dossier.
Chuck Ross at The Daily Caller reported:
Former FBI Director James Comey wrote in a newly released memo that pressure from news outlets — “CNN in particular” — convinced him to brief then-President-Elect Donald Trump on the infamous Steele dossier during a meeting at Trump Tower on Jan. 6, 2017...
So how do you suppose James Comey knew that CNN was about to run the salacious anti-Trump dossier?
And who could have been pressuring leaker James Comey with the discredited dossier?
Guess who started working at CNN covering the DOJ around this time?
Valerie Jarrett’s daughter Laura!

Laura Jarrett was hired by CNN in the fall of 2016 to cover the Justice Department.

CNN made the announcement in January 2017.
CNN has assigned the daughter of one of President Obama’s top advisers to cover the Department of Justice..."

DHS reveals dozens of MS-13, other gang members released by 'sanctuary' policies | Fox News:

Image result for flickr commons images MS-13 Gange"Dozens of gang members, some of whom belonged to the notorious MS-13, were shielded from deportation and released due to "sanctuary" policies last year, according to newly released stats from the Department of Homeland Security.
The revelation could jolt the escalating "sanctuary" debate, especially in California where many of those gang members were located.
"Two-thirds of the releases occurred in California, which has had a strict sanctuary policy in effect since January 2014," the Center for Immigration Studies said in a post on the data, pointing to "obvious public safety problems." "

Inconvenient weather fact for Earth Day: the frequency of violent tornadoes fell to a record low in 2017-Carpe Diem - AEI

Carpe Diem - AEI:
 Carpe Diem
Read it all!
"...For now, in preparation for Earth Day, let me present an “inconvenient weather fact” displayed graphically above of the annual US tornado count from 1954 to 2017 based on data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) National Centers for Environmental Information.

In 2017, there were only 15 tornadoes in the US that registered in the strong to violent categories of F3, F4 or F5 (there were 13 F3 tornadoes, 2 F4s, and no F5s), which was the fewest annual number of F3+ tornadoes in more than 60 years going back to 1954 when NOAA started collecting annual US tornado data, and below the previous record low count of 17 F3+ tornadoes in 1987...
As James Taylor wrote in Forbes in 2012 (five years before the record-setting low last year):
Tornadoes are becoming less frequent and less severe as our planet modestly warms. Yet global warming alarmists focus attention on the few tornadoes that still do occur and say that global warming is causing these increasingly rare tornadoes.

Jerry Brown Insists CA Sanctuary Laws Don’t Benefit Criminal Illegal Aliens | Breitbart:

Image result for flickr commons images gov. jerry brown"While speaking at the National Press Club in Washington, DC, Brown was asked whether California’s “sanctuary state” laws favor the “rights of criminal illegal aliens over the rights” of law-abiding Californians.
Brown said that notion is “absolutely false” and claimed that there is not a “scintilla of evidence that would support such an outlandish” proposition.
The California governor also said that it is a “lie” to say that Fullerton’s Grace Aguilar would still be alive if the state had more stringent immigration enforcement."

"A new study finds that Americans waste nearly a pound of food per person per day.
And at the top of it is fruits and vegetables.
...And Americans are told by government committees and pyramids they should want to eat vegetables, so they buy them and then throw them out when they start to spoil.
...Using the U.S. Foodprint Model, the team determined that from 2007 to 2014, U.S. consumers discarded 150,000 tons of food daily—waste that corresponded to the yearly use of an

  • estimated 30 million acres of land (7 percent of total U.S. harvested cropland),

With Vice President Pence breaking tie, Senate passes anti-Planned Parenthood bill
See the source image"WASHINGTON — Vice President Pence cast a tie-breaking Senate vote Thursday to pass legislation that will allow states to withhold federal funds from Planned Parenthood and other health care providers that perform abortions.
The measure, which now goes to President Trump for his signature, dismisses an Obama-era rule banning states from denying federal funds to such organizations.
Pence's vote was needed to break a 50-50 tie.
Republicans Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska broke with their party, voting against the measure..."

The judge is currently weighing whether to have a neutral third party review the documents seized in FBI raids on the office, home and hotel of Mr. Cohen.
Mr. Cohen’s attorneys have sought to keep the government from reviewing the materials by asserting attorney-client privilege. Prosecutors have demanded access to those documents claiming they are related to an ongoing criminal investigation."

The Photo of Protesters at Starbucks Is a Sad but Accurate Representation of Our Times

The Photo of Protesters at Starbucks Is a Sad but Accurate Representation of Our Times
"Doubtless, you’ve seen the picture circulating around Twitter of the protesters at Starbucks yelling at a single barista as he stands there taking it.
The picture is such a meme-able one that I expect this picture of poor Zack and his misfortune to be seen around the internet for a good long while.
For those curious, this is a protest in a Philidelphia Starbucks that arose after two black men were arrested for no other reason than they were sitting in a Starbucks without having purchased anything.
...The commentary the image gives us is spectacularly accurate of our own times.
Here we have a social justice warrior surrounded by his fellows in the angry mob, bullhorn aimed squarely at working man Zack.
Zack did nothing wrong, and yet looks on ahead at nothing as he stoically and quietly takes whatever abuse the crowd throws at him despite his innocence.
Zack stays quiet for two reasons.
  • One is that anything uttered out of his mouth will immediately be taken wrongly and will only cause the mob to go into loud hysterics.
  • The second reason is that Zack is a modern man who will take the abuse because society has told him that he deserves it, and in order to be a good guy he must take whatever punishment the mob throws at him..."

Finland Is Killing Its Basic Income Experiment - Slashdot

Finland Is Killing Its Basic Income Experiment - Slashdot:
"tomhath shares a report:
Since the beginning of last year, 2000 Finns are getting money from the government each month -- and they are not expected to do anything in return.
Image result for Finland Is Killing Its Basic Income ExperimentThe participants, aged 25-58, are all unemployed, and were selected at random by Kela, Finland's social-security institution.
Instead of unemployment benefits, the participants now receive $690 per month, tax free.
Should they find a job during the two-year trial, they still get to keep the money.
While the project is praised internationally for being at the cutting edge of social welfare, back in Finland, decision makers are quietly pulling the brakes, making a U-turn that is taking the project in a whole new direction.
"Right now, the government is making changes that are taking the system further away from a basic income," Kela researcher Miska Simanainen told the Swedish daily Svenska Dagbladet."
